Description

NGC 247 (The Claw Galaxy-The Needle's Eye galaxy) is an dwarf spiral galaxy about 70,000 light-years across and part of the Sculptor Group of Galaxies and about 11.1 Million Light Years away in the constellation Cetus. Burbidge's Chain galaxies appears bottom left  and are about 300 million light-years distant and range from 14.4 to 17th magnitude.
This object is now coming back to a favourable location for me so if the weather co-operates for a change around the new moon I will get a lot more data but for the moment the better 300 second exposure data from 2021 has been given the new Pixinsight tools treatment and I am quite happy with that.
